Touchshield™ WPVC70 is a transparent, watermarked anti-microbial self-adhesive film for smooth, multi-contact flat or curved surfaces.

It provides constant 99% protection against bacteria and 93.41% against viruses similar to Coronavirus. This product is certified to ISO 22196 and ISO 21702 standards.

Bespoke sizes are available upon request, and are also sold in the following pack sizes:

Pack of 8 75mm x 3m strips (24m in total) - ideal for bannisters, hand railings, push pads, handlebars, trolley handles etc.
Packs of 10, 25, 50 or 100 A4 (210mm x 297mm) sheets - perfect to be cut to size for smaller applications like screens, door handles, buttons etc.
Packs of 5, 10, 25 or 50 A3 (297mm x 420mm) sheets - great for use on larger surfaces like desks, tables and counter tops etc.

1. How does Touchshield™ work?

Touchshield™ is coated with a clever, anti-microbial coating. The coating includes silver-ion which are the active ingredient when it comes to destroying micro-organisms. Silver-ion is proven to inactivate envelope style viruses, like Coronavirus, through a charge-based interaction. Essentially, Touchshield™ is killing bacteria and viruses that come into contact with surfaces and preventing their deadly spread.

2. What colour is Touchshield™ film?

Touchshield™ is clear, watermarked anti-microbial protective film. Subtle enough to blend in, distinguishable enough to trust. We have used the orange branding colour on our images for demonstration purposes.

3. How long does it last?

Touchshield™ comes with an advisory in-use lifespan of 6 months pending usage. It is important to note that the protective levels of Touchshield™ remain as effective throughout the lifespan of the product. The protection does not decline over time. The indicative lifespan of 6 months is relating to the adhesive to the surface itself. Generally, when the edges begin to lift or the product shows sign of wear and tear, it is time to replace.

4. Is Touchshield™ certified?

Touchshield™ has been put through its paces and tested to internationally recognised standards (ISO). ISO 22196 measures the activity of bacteria on surfaces of which Touchshield™ has been awarded protection levels of up to 99%. ISO 21702 measures the activity of viruses on surfaces of which Touchshield™ has been awarded protection levels of up to 93.41%. Bacteria and viruses are very different things, each acting and reacting in very different ways to preventative methods. 5. Will it damage my surfaces and is it easily removed?

The adhesive for Touchshield™ is and aqueous removable acrylic. This adhesive has been designed to provide excellent adhesion to the surface whilst in use with the added benefit of excellent, clean, residue-free removability.

6. Can Touchshield™ be cleaned?

Touchshield™ is self-cleaning by nature so it is not recommended that industrial chemicals or disinfectants are used as this could damage the product. A mild detergent or soapy water is all that we would recommend to clean surfaces once Touchshield™ has been applied.
